The MediaMonkey Player supports Input, Output, DSP effect, General, and Visualization plug-ins that are compatible with Winamp 2. Input plug-ins generally add support for new audio formats, while Output plug-ins control how MediaMonkey outputs audio. DSP plug-ins usually enhance and/or modify the audio in some way, while General plug-ins often add some entirely new functionality to the application. Visualization plugins enable the display of psychedelic effects as the music plays.
Before you can configure a plug-in, you must install it (although several plug-ins are installed by default as described in the readme file). You can download additional plug-ins from the MediaMonkey www site or from various other locations online. To install a plug-in you'll have to follow either of the following procedures:
Once the plug-in is installed, you can access it from the relevant plug-ins pane (though visualization plug-ins can also be accessed via the visualization button on the main toolbar), and press the Configure button. For DSP Audio Effect plug-ins, you can also set the order in which the plugins process the audio.
